Wanted: the best "kylterit" (business students) in Finland! Suomen Ekonomit and Danske Bank are looking for the Finnish Business Student champions in the Biz Potential Finland 2024 competition.

Biz Potential Finland 2024 is a competition where teams compete for the title of Finland's most skilled business students. The competition challenges the business and economics skills of student teams with a variety of theoretical questions and a case study. The competition is held in English.

The best team will be awarded the title of The Best Business Students of Finland and a prize of €3000. The second-place team will receive €2000 and the third-place team €1000.

In addition, the three best teams will get to represent Finland in the Nordic Championship in Business and Economics between Nordic business schools, which will be held in Sweden (to be confirmed later) in autumn 2024. Suomen Ekonomit will pay for the trip.

According to the rules of the competition, the team must consist of 2-3 student members of Suomen Ekonomit, who may be from different student organisations. Each team has to nominate a captain, and the captain's organization determines the organization the team represents. The level of the competition is particularly suitable for students in the middle stages of their studies, but the competition is open to all students, regardless of their level of study. The captain will enter their team to the competition.

The competition will be held in two parts. On 4-5 March 2024, an online qualifying competition will be held to select the teams for the final. The qualifier can be completed during a 24h period and it lasts for max 60 minutes. The best team from each of the competing student organizations will be selected for the final. The qualifying competition will consist of multiple-choice questions.

The Biz Potential Finland Final will be held in Lappeenranta on 5-6 April 2024. In the final, teams will compete in a theory exam and case study, and the four best teams in the Saturday evening super-final.

Suomen Ekonomit will cover the accommodation and travel costs of the teams participating in the final. The actual programme will end on Saturday, but accommodation will also be arranged for Saturday night. (Accomodation is provided from Thursday to teams arriving from the longest distances.)

The registration period for the competition is 7 February to 1 March 2024, after which a confirmation email will be sent to all registered teams with details of the qualifying competition on 4-5 March.
