Wanted: The best kylteris in Finland

Suomen Ekonomit and Danske Bank are looking for the best business school students in Finland.

Biz Potential Finland 2022 is a competition in which teams of business students compete for the title of the best kylteris in Finland. The competition challenges teams business knowledge through varied theoretical questions and case exercises. The best team will win the honour of becoming the Finnish champions of business students as well as a prize of 2,000 €. The teams in second and third place will receive 1,000 € and 500 €, respectively. In addition, the top two teams will represent Finland in the Nordic Championship in Business and Economics, which will be held in Helsinki in October 2022.

According to the competition rules, the teams must comprise 2–3 student members of Suomen Ekonomit. Students can be form the same or different student associations. Each team must name a captain, and the captain’s student association determines the association that the team represents.

The captain will register the team into the competition.

In terms of its level of difficulty, the competition is suitable for students who are roughly midway through their studies, but it is open to all students, regardless of how far along in their studies they are.

The competition will be held in two parts. On Thursday 7 April 2022, an elimination competition will be held online to select the teams for the final. The best team from each student association will proceed to the final. The elimination phase consists of multiple choice questions and a written exercise.

The Biz Potential Finland final will be held in Pori 6–8 May 2022. In the final, all teams will participate in a theoretical exam, after which the seven top teams will proceed to the case part to compete for the first prize. Suomen Ekonomit will cover the accommodation and travel costs of the finalist teams.

The final day of registration is Sunday 3 April 2022. After this, a confirmation message containing details about the elimination to be held on 7 April will be sent to all registered teams.
