Boost Your Job Search with CareerBoost!
Job searching can feel lonely and challenging, but you do not have to do it alone. CareerBoost is a three-week online job hunting programme built around peer support.
Developed by experienced career coaches, the programme offers practical tips and guidance to support your job search in Finland. Each week includes themes, exercises and job search activities designed to help you stay active and focused. The tasks require approximately two hours per day.
In your group, you can share experiences from your job search, exchange feedback and encouragement, and gain new perspectives on your skills and career direction.
Who can join?
CareerBoost is a special service provided by Suomen Ekonomit and five other Akava-affiliated unions. It's intended for unemployed members, or members facing a risk of unemployment. Participation is included in your membership fee, and you can join from anywhere.

When does the programme take place?
During fall 2026, two CareerBoost groups will be organised:
Group 1: 24 August – 14 September 2026
Group 2: 9 November – 30 November 2026
How does it work?
CareerBoost is based on peer support, and most group meetings are facilitated by the participants themselves. A career coach joins the first-week kick-off and the weekly Thursday sessions.
