Welcome to the second edition of our Buddy Programme!
Last year, more than 20 members made a new Ekonomit buddy thanks to the programme.
With this community programme we aim to pair together members who want to meet and connect with others - especially international members - and offer each other the comfort of going to (Ekonomit) events with a buddy.
How do I get a buddy?
First you need to register for the Buddy Programme. When applying to the programme, you will be asked to fill in some information about you and what kind of buddy you are looking for.
- similar age or not
- same gender or not
- amount of events you'd like to attend per year
- languages you are willing to speak with your buddy
The less strict your preferences are, the more likely it is that you will find a buddy, especially when it comes to language.
Registrants will by default be paired with members of the same member association to facilitate attending association-produced events together.
What happens after I have filled in the application form for the Buddy Programme?
Applicants will be informed about a spot in the Buddy Programme and grouped with 1-5 fitting potential buddies.
On May 8th, we will host the first meet-up for buddies. This event will give you the chance to meet the potential buddies you’ve been paired with, get to know them, and see if there’s a match. You’ll have the opportunity to create a WhatsApp group, register together to Business Beyond Today, who knows!
After the event, if you need more time to decide whom you’d like to connect with, we will ask you to let us know who you would prefer to buddy up with. We will then facilitate the final matching of buddy requests.
Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including cocktails) will be offered at a discounted price for all attendees during the event.
Please note that the meeting on May 8th is mandatory. If you cannot attend between 17:30 and 19:30, please do not apply for the Buddy Programme.
If we have been unable to find a suitable match for you based on your preferences, we will inform you before the event, and you will not be expected to attend.
