Curious about how startups land their first investments?

Join us for an inspiring evening focused on early-stage investing, where experienced investors and innovation leaders share how startups secure their first funding and what investors look for in early-stage companies.

The evening features three speakers with unique perspectives on the startup ecosystem:  Jeff Wallace, Adjunct Instructor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UC Berkeley, co-founder of the Batchery accelerator, and an angel investor with investments in 300+ startups worldwide; Patrik Österåker, a Vaasa-based investor and entrepreneur with experience as CTO, CEO, and startup ecosystem builder; and Philipp Holtkamp, Head of Innovations and Ecosystems at the University of Vaasa and responsible for Vaasa Startup Factory.

During the event, we’ll also host a Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to ask the speakers your own questions about startups and fundraising.

To make the evening even better, drinks and food from El Diablito, a delicious burrito wrap that has rice, beans, mozzarella, chipotle mayo, red onion, avokado and choice of filling. For the filling of the burrito you can choose between slow cooked beef, halloumji (vege) or slow cooked bbq pork, vegan options also avalilable! Yum! This will be served while you network and connect with other participants.

And the evening doesn’t stop there — for those who want to continue the fun, we’ll head over to Vaasa University’s Arcade afterwards for some games and a relaxed hangout.
