Join Nuoret Ekonomit to do good on World Cleanup Day!

The UN's annual World Cleanup Day will be held this year on Saturday, September 20th. Together we will clean up the Mustikkamaa beach and its nearby park areas. The event will start at 12:00 with registration and quick instructions on litter collection. Together we will make the area and Helsinki's nature cleaner by giving our time for the common good and the well-being of our surrounding nature. The event is part of the Siisti Biitsi beach cleanup program and the City of Helsinki's cleaning volunteer programme.

We will meet together in front of Restaurant Lippa, where we will divide into groups of 2–3 people, because the goal of the Siisti Biitsi program is also to collect information about litter found on the beaches, for which we will provide clear instructions for reporting. So bring your friends along to do good - together.

After the cleanup, those who want to can reward themselves with Sompasauna. What better way to spend a September Saturday than doing good together and relaxing in the warmth of a sauna?

Remember to wear weather appropriate clothing! The event is held in both English and Finnish. 

Programme

• 12:00 Registration, division to groups and instructions of cleaning day's tasks
• Cleaning in groups on free schedule
• 14:00 Return of cleaning supplies, trash and forms to organizers
• End of official programme
• Free access to bathing in Sompasauna

The maximum number of participants in this event is 50. Register by 12 p.m. on 19 September at the latest.
